The people at Nursery Artist
are committed to community service and grassroot efforts. It is in
that spirit that we would like to introduce our children's charity of
the month program. Each month we will feature a new charity that
contributes to the health, well-being, and betterment of children around
the world. Each Charity we choose will be tax deductible unless noted
otherwise. The money will go directly to the charity not to Nursery Artist. Nursery Artist will not
receive any of the funds; every dime will go to the charity. Also, if
you know of any worthy charities that you would like for us to feature
please email us to let us know.
It is with great pleasure that I introduce our first charity: Chuka/Mugona .
Chuka/Mugona is an all girls school in Kenya.
In Kenya student's families must pay $300 a year in order for them to go to
school. Many student's families are too poor to afford the cost and
other students are orphans due to the tragic A.I.D.S epidemic in
Africa. If these girls don't receive an education they will be forced
to marry older men, or forced to become sex workers. You can prevent this from happening. There is no minimum donation, give what you can, if you can. This is indeed a
worthy cause. In addition to helping a little girl live out her dreams
and saving her young life
you will receive photos from my friend Dr. Pia, a retired scientist who
teaches at the school. These photos and reports will show you the
child or children that you are helping.
