First, stock up on some basic supplies. You'll need white
vinegar, baking soda, salt and lemon juice to start. Other items like essential
oils,tea tree, and washing soda (sodium carbonate) make a good additions as well. Have some empty, clean spray bottles and label them, get plenty
of cloth rags, a mop and a bucket.
Air Freshener: All you need are Lemons
and Baking soda. Dissolve the baking soda in 2 cups of hot water and add lemon
juice. Put it in a spray bottle and now you have simple non-toxic air
freshener.

Purpose Cleaners:
1. For general cleaning mix 1 quart of hot water and 4
tablespoon of baking soda.
2. Salt and vinegar mixed together make a great surface cleaner.
3. Mix 3 tbsp. vinegar, ½
tsp washing soda, ½ tsp. vegetable oil based liquid soap and 2 cups of hot
water in a spray bottle, now you can apply this on surfaces.
Disinfectants
(germ killers):
1. Borax is a good disinfectant and deodorizer; just combine ½
cup borax in 1 gallon of warm water.
2. Borax and 1 gallon of water, soaked
with rosemary or lavender and sprigs of fresh thyme (you can add essential oils
depending to what kind of smell you want), then store it in a spray bottle.
Remember to make your
cleaning products in advance and buy your ingredients in bulk. That way you can
save time and money; and always make sure that you label the products you
make.
